WINEMAKER’ NOTES
Our 2009 Insania is a delicious Bordeaux blend that features four varieties, 10 vineyards and five AVAs. All of the fruit was hand harvested and immediately crushed and destemmed at the winery. The must was then pumped over two or three times per day to gain color, weight and flavor. After pressing, the wine was put to barrels and inoculated for malolactic fermentation. The wine was then racked every two to three months to aide clarification. Blending is one of the most rewarding activities for any winemaker. For this 2009 Insania I tried a number of combinations before I settled on this final assemblage. It is a deep, rich, full-bodied wine noteworthy for its black cherry, cedar and blackberry aromatics and flavors. While it shows
well in its youth, the underlying tannins ensure a long and happy future. Insania is a collaboration between Geoff Tate of Queensryche and Holly Turner of Three Rivers Winery.

VINTAGE NOTES
The 2010 growing season was the coolest since 1999. While a warm spell in August helped push ripening along, our harvest was still delayed up to two weeks later than normal. The mild temperatures ensured great structure in all of our white wines.

WINEMAKER’ NOTES
All of the fruit for our 2010 Insania came from the Klipsun Vineyard in the small Red Mountain appellation. Located in the eastern reaches of the Yakima Valley, the Red Mountain region offers low rainfall and large diurnal temperature shifts. This desert-like climate produces intensely flavored Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. After whole cluster pressing both the Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon we let the juice settle before inoculation. Both varieties were barrel fermented in 1, 2 & 3 year old French Oak to add depth to the wine. We also put a portion of the Semillon through malolactic to soften the palate. Our 2010 is crisp, vibrant and intense. It delivers heady aromas and flavors reminiscent of pineapple, apricot, pear, star fruit and citrus. Serve on its own before dinner or pair it with creamy cheeses, grilled sea bass or rotisserie chicken. Insania is a collaboration between Geoff Tate of Queensryche and Holly Turner of Three Rivers Winery.

Deep purple in color with classic Cabernet flavors of cassis, blackberry and plum that mingle harmoniously with a touch of oak spice and a hint of sage. On the palate, the wine is soft and plush with ample, yet delicate tannins that fade gracefully into a smooth finish.

This wine offers rich flavors of cassis and mocha enhanced by smoky notes. The velvety mouthfeel and long, elegant finish add style to this classic Cabernet Sauvignon, which is perfect for pairing with herb-crusted roasted rack of lamb, grilled rib eye steak and hearty cheeses. Fire up the grill and open a bottle!

Amrut has returned to one of its early successes, this is batch 2 of the highly popular Amrut Two Continents Matured in refill bourbon barrels and bottled at a higher strenth 50% this time around. Limited release of 1,260 numbered bottles.

Glenrothes, 1985 Vintage (Scotland) The Glenrothes is packaged is an eye-catching ‘sample’ bottle. The three vintages that are available at time of writing (1985, 1991 and 1994) are all excellent whiskies displaying a fascinating range of characteristics, but whisky-pages’ favourite is the 1985 expression. This displays honey, marmalade, spices and bitter chocolate on the complex nose, with light smoke and vanilla also developing. A delicious blend of fruits, honey and spices emerge in the mouth, with smooth heather, prunes and refined oak notes. Vanilla and brittle toffee feature in the elegant and lengthy finish. 43.0% ABV
